The smartest dog breeds
Behavioral biologist Frans de Waal argues that people tend to judge animals through the prism of their own ideas about the intellect and are therefore often mistaken. He is absolutely right - that is why there is no simple way to assess the intellectual level of a dog breed. This problem was solved in 1990 by psychologist Stanley Koren, after conducting a large-scale study of almost all breeds. In the first category, the researcher singled out dogs with excellent learning abilities: they understand the team in less than 5 repetitions, and the command can be executed the first time in 95% of cases.
