Freestyle - training elements of the "Top" and "Waltz"
In order to show love to your pet-tail, you do not need a lot of money, resources and other things. It is enough to give him a little more attention. And freestyle will help to diversify leisure with your favorite.
Earlier we considered how to train a dog to one of the elements of freestyle - the Zai team. Let's replenish our dance language with new words - the commands “Top” and “Waltz”. If someone does not like this name, then these tricks may sound "Cool" and "Verti", respectively. This is probably one of the simplest elements in freestyle.
So let's get started. As usual, you will need a hungry dog, accustomed to the clicker, the clicker itself and your dog's favorite delicacy.
Team "Top", or "cool"
Freestyle includes this element in the following form: the dog turns quickly and merrily around its axis counterclockwise (if you want, you can also clockwise - it does not matter).
The element allows the dog to become more flexible, develops physically and, of course, mentally.
Stage 1.“We take” the dog by the nose with a treat and move our hand towards its body, forcing us to turn our face and twist to the side we need. As soon as the student reached for the treat and turned as far as he could this time, we click and give the treat. (And why isn’t yoga for dogs?)
Stage 2.Increase the intensity of the advancement of the hand and click for a larger turn of the muzzle.
Warning.Do not rush to require the ward to turn completely. If you start to force the dog at this stage, then ultimately you will not get a fun and quick performance of the trick with him.
Stage 3.We bring the degree of rotation to 360 degrees, clicking at the time of turning the dog more than 180 degrees (that is, when she turned a little more than half).
Stage 4.Enter the voice command. As you remember, at this stage, the command always sounds first, and then the gesture - click - delicacy.
Stage 5.Increase the distance between the nose of the dog and your hand. The stage will pass quickly and easily, if the voice command is worked out qualitatively.
Stage 6.The gesture is reduced to a minimum, leaving a slight movement of the hand in the direction in which the dog should turn.
Team "Waltz", or "Vert"
Freestyle implies the following element performance: the dog rotates around its axis in a clockwise direction (or counterclockwise, if you had a top command clockwise).
Training is built in a similar way, but in a different direction.
Warning.Do not switch to this command completely, sometimes repeat the previous one, in order to make it clear to the dog what the difference is between the commands.
After studying, you can add your own turn during the rotation of the four-legged partner.
That's all. Waltz with pleasure!
